Joyce (VanOverbeke) Sackleh shares with us scans of her "Center Line Public School Christmas 1906 Souvenir Program", which are shown below. It has been passed on down to succeeding generations by pupil Bernard (Ben) "Brozozwska". He was the son of August and Anna (Goike) Brozowski and he later married Joyce's relative Elizabeth Rumph.

The Center Line Public School's only teacher in 1906 was Mortimer W. Plunkett and he taught in their one-room school house which was located on Ten Mile Rd. just east of Sherwood (for more information, see the history above). Mortimer was 24 years old in 1906 and it is his photo which is included in the Souvenir Program. Based on the ages of some of those pupils which can be found in the 1900 and 1910 US Censuses, this list of pupil names apparently includes the entire student body of the grade 1 thru 8, one-room schoolhouse.
